Based in Rossendale and Preston, our main areas of operation are across Lancashire, Yorkshire, Cumbria, Cheshire and North Wales, although we are able to operate anywhere in the country.
Michael Pooler Associates has over forty years' experience in civil and structural engineering, working in partnership with individuals, local authorities, small businesses and multi-national companies. In today's changing market the increasing standards of acceptance by banks and building societies are producing additional burdens on individuals looking to buy or sell property.
For over forty years Michael Pooler Associates has been providing civil and structural engineering solutions across a wide range of building, construction and repair projects for small domestic jobs to large industrial and commercial developments. Michael Pooler Associates have provided a dedicated service inspecting and producing structural engineering reports for over 20 years on a full range of properties across the North West.
After the collapse of the wall to the rear of a residential property, which resulted in a land slip we were called to help to provide a workable solution which would satisfy both the home owners and the insurers. Working with the home owners, the insurers, contractors, and local residents, Michael Pooler Associates oversaw the project to build a new retaining wall, and secure the land above.
Not many people know that a culvert which runs through your land is your responsibility. If one runs through your land, or under your property it may be worthwhile to check you're insured if something goes wrong with it. The photographs below show what happened to the front room of a property where the culvert running beneath the property collapsed.
