The accommodation in each cottage comprises a spacious living/kitchen/ dining area with open fires to provide a cosy atmosphere on cold evenings. They are finished to a very high standard and furnished tastefully to give a traditional rural feel while still offering all modern facilities. They have a TV/DVD, radio/CD player and the kitchens are fitted with a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and microwave oven to make life as easy as possible.
We are just a few minutes from the award winning village of Hillsborough with its excellent pubs and restaurants and picturesque surroundings. Down Royal Racecourse - St Patrick's Day, May Day, September Festivals of Racing & Boxing Day. Down Royal Racecourse has brought the "Sport of Kings " to generations of people in Ulster since the 17th Century and is proud to boast some of the most modern facilities for any racegoer.
Gail, Just a short note to say thank you for allowing us to stay in the cottage and making our stay comfortable. We were surprised to find that the standard that you had set for the cottage was so high and far exceeded what we were expecting. We definitely want to come again. Last year we stayed in a NITB 5 star apartment in Carnlough and as a comparison, the cottage is at least 8 stars.
