The University Gift Shop, shop at The Hunterian, online shop and other aspects of University of Glasgow retail is run by GU Heritage Retail Limited, a subsidiary company of the University which donates all of its profit to the University. The University Gift Shop is located on the ground floor of the University Main Building (Gilbert Scott Building) and is most easily accessed from the North side (through the main gate or memorial gate).
This shop stocks an eclectic mix of birthday and occasion cards, gifts, prints and stationery and a large range of University clothing and scarves. Whilst many of our products feature the University we also have gifts by local makers and ideal presents for all occasions.

Services
This collection showcases the official University of Glasgow tartan. Traditionally different weaves and dyes were worn by people in different areas of Scotland according to local taste or the natural materials available to make differently coloured fabrics. In the mid-nineteenth century tartans came to be more associated with different families and clans.
