Prestwick St. Nicholas Golf Club
Prestwick St Nicholas Golf Club is the 26th oldest Golf Club in the world. The deep bunkers, running fairways, undulating greens and strands of gorse test the skills of players of all abilities and at 6044 yards, this par 69 course is a must for amateur golfers of all ages. The splendid clubhouse sits yards from the shoreline and the finely manicured fairways offer year-round golf on a firm and generally frost-free footing.

The course is playable when many others are not. Many hundreds of local residents and their families have enjoyed walking across the fairways (and greens!) of our beautiful course with no damage whatsoever being caused during Lockdown. Thank you for that. Thank you for your consideration and for helping look after our course.
Services
The locker rooms and changing facilities will now be brought back into full use eg you will now officially be allowed to change your clothes etc in the locker rooms. The showers are no longer out of bounds which will be most welcome in this spell of warm weather. Face masks must be worn at all times in the Clubhouse unless seated (or taking a shower!).
Fully paid up competitors who no longer wish to (or are no longer able to) attend in 2021 will be provided with a refund. Why not pop into the new look Prestwick St Nicholas Professional Shop and meet Gareth and his friendly staff today. The shop is open to non-members also. Gareth, originally from South Africa, did his PGA training at The Westin Turnberry Resort before moving to Loch Lomond golf clubs sister golf course, Dundonald Links.
There are also 2 calculations (course & slope ratings) used in the determination of your handicap. It will fluctuate based on the moving average of your best eight scores from your last twenty. In practice this means that if you play in the next medal, your score will become score number 1 and the old score number 20 will drop off.

Course well presented for the senior open. Greens were consistently paced and ran smoothly. Some challenging holes and short par fours made for an interesting round.
Service and food in the clubhouse was excellent.
Overall s most enjoyable day one which I hope to repeat.

Fantastic golf course in beautiful condition. Greens were in good order throughout. Some tough par 4s into the wind and the par 3 18th hole is very difficult. The Clubhouse had a good selection of dishes on the menu and staff were very pleasant and helpful. Fantastic course in very good condition given the difficulties and working restrictions in place for most of the year and the huge increase in demand for golf 👌
