Portel AV
It's an easy upgrade to move over to Portel's VoIP (Voice over the Internet Protocol) phone systems both in the office and at home, you will not lose any phone numbers just the bills for renting phone lines as everything now travels via the Broadband service, either your existing one or a new, Portel provided service.

ISDN or Integrated Services, Digital Networking to give its full name is what you may have as 'lines' to your traditional telephone system. Hello, we're Portel AV and we're here to help you with all your VoIP requirements in Yorkshire and beyond.
Services
Why are Portel's prices so low? its easy, we manufacture the telephone systems so no 'middlemen' and commission sales people to pay. IMPORTANT NOTE: Please do not confuse our VoIP telephones with others sold via the Internet. All Liberty range telephones arrive fully configured and working either with the supplied Liberty telephone system Server or directly connected to one of our Hosted Cloud based Liberty VoIP systems.
Your system may be Cloud hosted on one of Portels 'Liberty' Cloud Servers or an office based SIP Liberty VoIP telephone system. It's your choice, our engineers will discuss the benefits of each option. Typically if call recording is required we recommend using an office based system, that way you know for certain all recordings are stored on-site.
Just like computer networks VoIP telephone systems need a means to plug all the phones into them. Check how many phones you are purchasing, allow at least ten per cent expansion plus a spare port for the phone system and then you should be able to work out which switch to buy. Powered switches are ideal if mains is limited or phones are used in area's where mains isn't available, the required 5 volt power supply is derived via the PoE switch.
Our 4G wireless router is Portel AV's answer in a box to your instant office. It's so easy. Unpack the router, install a 4G data SIM, power up and away you go. With up to 150 MB/s download, 50 MB/s upload and up to 20 MB bandwidth, you're safe in the knowledge that you can enjoy a stable and reliable network.
The 'quick fix'would be to add more phone lines but in some cases the phone systems simply do not have the capacity to take more lines so require replacement. There is no additional funding for this work which means the money has to come from somewhere which means reducing other services to the Community in order to carry out the upgrade work required.
