From first planning meetings to last wave goodbye on the day after, our wedding day was handled with professional aplomb by the whole team here, ably led by Melissa, Jenny and Lydia.
The food, formalities, fireworks and fun on the evening were the stuff of memories! We wanted it to go on and on…… no request was too much for the whole team. No situation too difficult to overcome and no obstacle allowed to stop us having a day to remember.
Big thank you to all. If you are fortunate enough to be planning your big day, you couldn’t do better than contact the team at Hazlewood Castle. You won’t

My wife and I stayed here recently and had a fantastic time. When I booked I mentioned that it was for a special occasion and we were kindly greeted with a bottle of champagne on the house.
Unfortunately there were a series of events that meant were had to change rooms twice. The first time we were upgraded to a suite, and the second time we were upgraded again to a four poster master suite.
There will always be things that happen in life that are out of ones control. What is important is how one deals with them. The hotel staff were amazing. Apologetic, courteous and so professional even insisting

The disabled facilities were rubbish the food was lovely but it was my daughters 30th she paid over £20 an head and there wasn't enough food to feed everyone and they only brought out food once. There was no signs saying private party so people were having to be told that thought it was part of the hotel. The barman Conner I think his name was was very helpful and needs a pay rise

Attended such a beautiful wedding here and everything as perfect. The ground were lovely to walk around while trying to get my little one to nap. And the food was delicious, especially the carrots!! Now I will be the first to admit I'm not normally their number one fan, but I have been thinking about these carrots for a week and a half now and I only wish I could be eating them again.

Set in 90+ acres of land. It’s in the middle of nowhere so having your own transportation is a must. Due to its location the WiFi isn’t great and getting a phone signal whilst in some parts of the building is difficult. The food served here is very nice and delicious. I stayed here for work and had a brief walk around in the morning. Lovely venue for a wedding. The staff are very accommodating and assisted me when I needed to connect for a meeting and allowed me to use the boardroom as the phone signal was poor where I was previously seated.

Lovely place. Did a spooky walk for Halloween for the kids. Big forest to walk round and a nice display. They also had quad bikes, archery and other activities available to book.

Absolutely stunning venue! Recently got married here and our wedding coordinator, Kelly, was outstanding. On the day every single member of staff was incredible and made our day so special. Our guests and vendors commented on how lovely the staff were. It’s so worth the price - you get what you pay for here. It’s stunning inside and out and the staff make the venue even more precious. The food the night before was also very delicious and the spa was a nice treat, although this is simply treatment rooms and no pool/ sauna at the spa.

Visited for a wedding and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and attentive but not intrusive. The room we stayed in was tidy and clean and when we asked at reception for some changes to the layout they were more than happy to help out.
My only gripe is that the bacon at breakfast was a little under cooked for my liking but when you slap it in some bread with a bit of brown sauce it all goes down the same.

Impressive building with old world charm unlike chain hotels. Handy location for A1/A64 with easy access to Leeds/York yet peaceful on a private estate. The standard rooms are quieter away from main building and very comfortable. Excellent dinner but expensive. Breakfast was freshly cooked one day and mediocre buffet the next. Staff young but friendly if. a little inexperienced. Booked my next trip.

Hazlewood Castle is as good as it looks in the photos - superb!
We recently ran a company training event and stayed overnight and had dinner. Everything was exactly as it should be. The venue is beautiful, the staff are friendly and helpful and the food is excellent too. Great venue, happy to recommend it.
