Our property lies in the heart of the 'Dyfi Biosphere'. UNESCO gave the Dyfi Valley this special name because of the rich diversity of its natural beauty, heritage and wildlife. The Biosphere contains the nature reserves at Ynyshir, Ynyslas, the Dyfi estuary and the local towns and villages that are steeped in history.
We were members of the Green Tourism Scheme from 2010 until 2016. We were awarded a Gold Star in 2010 and successfully retained it until we left the scheme from choice last year. We have continued to develop and improve our green credentials. The following information gives you some idea about what we have done to achieve this and how you can help us run a successful green business during your stay with us.
We are located off the A470 in the Dyfi Valley, adjacent to the River Dyfi and the southern edge of the Snowdonia National Park. From Shrewsbury, take the A458 through Welshpool following signs for Dolgellau (and Machynlleth). Some 26 miles from Welshpool, there is a roundabout at Mallwyd where the A458 meets the A470.
