Hall Driving School is based in Scarborough but also covers Burniston, Cayton, Cloughton, Crossgates, Eastfield, Newby, Scalby and Seamer. Our aim is to make each lesson as enjoyable & educational as possible, whilst sticking to the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency syllabus AND providing value for money.
All lessons are on a 'one to one' basis. We passed our driving tests (car & motorbike), first time, many years ago. Standards have improved since then and these days, passing your test and every day driving is much more of a challenge than it used to be, but don't let that put you off!

The first thing we recommend you do, is to study and practice for your theory test. Practising and testing your highway code knowledge and hazard perception skills is essential if you want to be a safe driver and pass your driving test. You then need to apply for a provisional driving licence.
You can apply for the licence up to three months before your 17th birthday but you will still have to wait until your birthday before you can take your theory test.To apply for your licence, you must complete application form D1, available to order on-line from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), or from the Post Office.

PASS PLUS is a training scheme for new drivers. It's much more than just a few extra lessons. This specially designed course by the Driving Standards Agency (DVSA), with the help of insurers and the driving instruction industry, helps you. You should check which insurance companies offer the best discount for your particular requirements but you may even find that you recover the cost of your training and more!.
