A maternity photography session in Dorset with Samantha Prewett Photography is a beautiful natural way to capture those special bump memories before your baby arrives. If you already have children it can be very much like a family session, with a special theme. Or if you are expecting your first baby it can be just you or you and your partner.

I always love to talk to clients about their photography sessions before they book in.
These are some examples of the type of photos you can expect from your maternity photography session with Samantha Prewett Photography. My absolute favourite place for a maternity photography session is on the beach but the time of year will play a huge part in this. If you have a different location you would prefer I am more than happy to accommodate this.
But have you heard about baby led newborn photography? This simply means that your baby leads the session. I work with your baby to get the best natural photographs possible during your time with me. They are in charge, if they want cuddles or a feed that is what they get.

Samantha was recommended to myself by two separate friends, having had an earlier baby shoot with another photographer I knew what I wanted.
She listened to what I wanted from the shoot, whilst also giving direction of what would work best. I came prepared with different outfits, and various props are provided to achieve the perfect photos.
I’m extremely pleased with the outcome, and cannot recommended Samantha enough. Not only does she give a professional service, but her pricing is also very competitive too.

Samantha took wonderful photos of our 3 week old twins despite one of them being uncooperative! She was so patient and her experience with small babies really showed as she soothed them to be able to get some beautiful pictures, which will be treasured forever. She had thought about everything and was fully set up when we arrived. When our pictures arrived we were so impressed with the package and we are already planning our next session with her.

I couldn’t recommend Samantha more highly. We almost cancelled our session because our 3 week old was struggling with severe reflux and was extremely unsettled. But Samantha made us feel really at ease and was so good with Remy, she was so patient and got some amazing shots, when we thought we’d get none at all.

Samantha did our newborn photos for our son and then 3 years later for our daughter. She is a lovely lady who we felt more than comfortable to handle our babies. Her house is also a lovely homely setting which we much preferred rather than a artificial bright light studio. The photos she did are so special to us and we are so glad we had them done with Samantha.
