Has something gone wrong in your life? Are you searching for a way to put it right? When the usual ways of sorting our problems out don't work anymore it can be helpful to speak with someone who is not involved in your day to day life. I will offer a safe and confidential space to explore what is bothering you.
By this, I mean both a physical place and an emotional space. I will not judge you but I will give you my honest reflections on what you say to me. I will work hard to understand what you are telling me and to empathise with the emotions you are feeling. Working together in the unique circumstances that counselling offers, allows new answers to come to light.

Services
I have been counselling since 2008. I am qualified to work with adults, young people and children (down to 8 years old). I have experience counselling in Insight Counselling that is an independent charity which delivers a generic counselling service throughout Dundee and Angus. I also have experience counselling and doing research at the Tayside Counselling Centre in Abertay University Dundee.
Therapy is an opportunity to work on things in your life, and to find more satisfying and rewarding ways of living. Research shows that therapy can be very helpful for many people and that most clients leave counselling or psychotherapy feeling much better than when they started. However, research also shows that the more clients know about therapy before they start, and the more they put into it, the more they are likely to get out of it.
The following sections look at some ways you can prepare yourself to get the most benefit from the therapy you receive. It is important for your therapist to know what it is that you want to achieve in therapy - what your goals are. Your goals are a kind of 'contract' or agreement between you and your therapist, which specify what you want from him or her.
Getting started couldn't be easier, simply call, text or email with your availablity and desired location. If I'm in a counselling session and don't answer please leave a message and I will contact you as soon as I am free. I have Appointments available Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in Arbroath mornings and afternoons up to 4.30.
