Our professional in-house bodyshop is fully equipped to carry out all aspects of bodywork covering interior and exterior including, panel fabrication, alloy wheel refurbishments, welding, major or minor dent repairs and much more.
Services
Bodyline was established in 1985 by Steve Lawrence. Since then he has enjoyed restoring many different kinds of transport: motorcars, motorcycles, boats, pedal cars and so on, the list is long! He is very enthusiastic to see older machines restored to their former glory. Steve's father and grandfather before him have always had an interest in motorcars and motorcycles, and how best to race them.
Our professional services cover all of the different aspects of either restoring or repairing classic vehicles including cars, motorcycles, road bikes, speedway, scooters, military vehicles. We have even worked on rare pedal cars and also fully resorted a 1958 75 Speedboat to its former glory. Chroming, Upholstery, Mechanical refurbishment, Servicing and tuning, Rewiring, MOTs, Collection and delivery.
The Wolseley Oxford Taxi was the first new taxi cab to be launched on the British market after the end of the Second World War and was produced in Ward End, Birmingham. This vehicle came to us repaired and part primed. We checked all repairs and reprimed using high build primers. All panels were taken off and painted separately.
Originally sold to works fire services and small airfields, many fire engines were modified by their owners. With this in mind, we tried to put many original features back, i.e., the bell, lights and paint colour. We completed a ground up restoration, renewing all mechanical components so they were up to MOT standard.
The J40 and Pathfinder were both built by disabled ex coalminers at Bargeod in South Wales from 1948. The J40 continued production up to the 1970s, but unfortunately the Pathfinder was only produced for one year because of the complicated build. Our J40 and Pathfinder have both been fully restored.

Steve is a talented guy and a thoroughly helpful chap. I have taken both classic and modern cars to him for bodywork and have been impressed with his work and his attention to detail. His prices are fair and represent the quality of the work. Thoroughly recommended.
