Jon Beer Auto Services was setup by Jon in 1993 and traded from a small unit in Mill Road, Barnstaple where he carried out mechanical and body repairs. The business operated from this site until 1999 when the opportunity arose to purchase Bay View Garage in Landkey Road, Barnstaple. The new site allows the addition of on site MOT testing and car sales, and as business steadily increased more qualified technicians were employed.

In 2003 the neighbouring site was purchased, providing a larger sales forecourt, customer parking and reception with waiting areas. The Business today remains independent and consists of a small team of friendly people dedicated to providing the best possible service to customers. We have built our reputation on not only the quality of vehicles that we supply, but the level of commitment and after sales support shown to our customers.

Jon Beer Auto Services can offer all the services you are likely to need to maintain your car. We have a workshop fully equipped to carry out servicing and repairs to all makes and models of vehicle. We have invested in diagnostic equipment and training to tackle the more complex issues that can arise on modern vehicles, such as faults with engine management systems, ABS braking/traction control and air bag systems.

It would be nice to recommend this garage but I cannot. I've had two vehicles serviced there recently and each experience has left a great deal to be desired. The first one cost a lot more than expected and took three attempts to carry out all the work satisfactorily. I was expecting a bill of around £500 and it ended up costing me nearly £1000. The second, which went in for an MOT and minor service was quoted at nearly £500. When questioned more closely most of the work was only 'recommended' and not really required at the time or to pass the MOT and I ended up paying less than £200. Would

Went in to check out a few cars, met John himself and hes a pretty nice bloke. Wasn't pushing me to buy any particular car and left me to my thoughts once I had seen them all. Went back the following week and purchased a nice Peugeot. Really happy with the overall service.
