AVATIV Ltd was started in 2018 as a family business by Matthew Roberts and his two sons, covering both electrical and high tech installation work. Matthew undertook a Ministry of Defence apprenticeship at RAF Henlow in 1991 where he gained his initial qualifications in engineering, including electrical principles.

I undertake domestic and commercial periodic inspection & testing work and I am qualified, accredited and insured to compile Electrical. We can investigate faults including troublesome tripping on your electrics or install a replacement consumer unit. We are fully qualified. Smart home systems have revolutionised the way that we manage simple things like turning on the heating or the lights, .
In England the following came into force in 2020; Landlords in the Private Rented Sector (PRS) must ensure every electrical installation in their residential premises is inspected and tested at intervals of no more than 5 years by a qualified and competent person. So far in Wales we don't have the same direct legal obligations, however there is still the statutory (and moral) requirement for Landlords to provide safe living accommodation.
We offer a transparent minimum charge for the typical electrical jobs, which includes the minor materials and VAT. To visit you within Pembrokeshire or Carmarthenshire in order to discuss a project or to provide a no-obligation quotation for a set piece of work you want completing then there is no charge.

Matt came to our rescue after recently moving into a property with electrics that were a bit ‘iffy’…not only did he meticulously check every socket and circuit but he also saved our lives twice over by finding and fixing two serious faults during the ECIR tests. Genuinely brilliant-we would highly recommend Matt as a true gem!

Matthew and his son were excellent. The standard of work was high, they were clean and tidied up after themselves. Both were very friendly on the job and happy to explain what work they were conducting.
They were methodical in ensuring everything was done correctly and safely.
We had a variety of work done, from installation of plug sockets and lighting, to adding new circuitry for a cooker.
We are very happy and would recommend their services to anyone looking for an electrician, who will turn up on time and do an excellent job.
