Family-owned and run since 1925, Maddock have been trusted by generations of Warrington families. After arranging funerals in Stockton Heath for many decades, we became part of Craven, the largest independent funeral providers in Merseyside and North Cheshire, in 1979. Alongside all the credibility and expertise of Craven, we've retained our traditional values and local roots as Maddock based here in Warrington.
And you'll find that we tailor everything to you: whether you need a basic funeral costing just 1,275.00 or something more ceremonial, a traditional wood coffin or a granite memorial. In addition, it's about the nice little touches: from a bespoke coffin to a chosen cortege route and personalised music and readings.

Services
This is the best job I've ever had. I love talking to the families, getting to know them, guiding and helping them through a difficult time and, in many instances, becoming friends. Maddock has always been a family-orientated business. Since 1925, when Alf Maddock and his son Harold began arranging funerals in Stockton Heath, we've been helping Warrington families to say their final goodbyes.
Our reputation has been built on the strength of our team. The experience, expertise and commitment of individual colleagues have made our business what it is today. Anne Marie has been arranging funerals at our office in Stockton Heath (Maddocks) since 2005.
Anne Marie wasn't quite sure what to expect when she first joined us but quickly settled in as she found that her calm and quiet demeanour is well suited to assisting bereaved clients with funeral arrangements.Alternatively we can make the majority of arrangements by 'phone, post and email should you prefer.

This section of the website contains useful information and advice for each step in the funeral arranging process. At Maddock, we know how difficult arranging a funeral for a loved one can be. This section of the website is full of information and advice for each step in the funeral arranging process, from stationery and music to writing an obituary.
After the funeral service, it is traditional as part of the wake to provide food and drink for the mourners. It can be difficult to think about providing food for others during an emotional time, but we've found that many people find this to be a rewarding part of the funeral ritual. The wake provides an opportunity for those who knew your loved one to meet and collectively reflect on times shared.
Although our traditional, high quality wood coffins are still the most popular type of coffin, there are several alternatives also available. In fact, coffins made of bamboo, wool, wicker, cardboard, willow or recycled materials are now becoming increasingly popular. Alternatively we can make the majority of arrangements by 'phone, post and email should you prefer.
