Creating videos for more than two decades has given Director Tim Paine a wealth of experience. The key in producing an effective video is to understand the target audience, the reason to make the programme in the first place, how is it going to be used and even where is it to be shown.

Photography is in our blood. Tim's grandfather, Eric Charles Paine, was a pharmacist and served in the Royal Medical Corps in the Great War. After being discharged because of a medical condition he set up E.C. Paine Chemist in the 1920s. In those days a chemist shop was the only place you could get film developed (because of the chemicals) and he also became a respected photographer.
Using video is one of the most effective ways of boosting awareness of your product, brand or message. Using video to communicate to a wide audience is extremely effective and ensures a consistent message is delivered every time. A "talking head" as we call it or even a structured interview can be filmed and edited in just a few hours.
The MPA have run an annual Health & Safety Awards Scheme for 47 years. ECP Video have been involved producing the video content for the awards since 2001. Members of the MPA are encouraged to share best practice and new and inspirational health and safety innovations through this awards scheme. Videos are produced of the shortlisted entries which are highlighted at the event and then shared throughout various channels.
