We went to the White Hart yesterday for lunch. The Venue and the food were surprisingly excellent and we enjoyed it very much. Both Paulo and Hannah were outstanding especially as they were the only two front of house staff on duty. Paulo is clearly an experienced manager and Hannah is young and still in training; quite why there were only two on duty did not become clear to us but, on a relatively busy service this was not enough. They did their absolute best to be efficient and professional. Well done to both of them and, if the lack of support was due to a decision by more senior management

Simply parked up first thing… thanks for that, and did a decent 10,000 plus steps circular strut with the dog 🐶 around Overton and returned for lunch. Ate off the simple lunch menu, ham (cold) two eggs and chips, friend fish and chips. Good size portions good value. Lovely Upham Brewery beer 🍺. Very friendly and very efficient waitresses. Dog 🐶 friendly…we ate outside.

Staff were warn and friendly. Food cooked to perfection but a couple of items on menu not available which was a shame. Pub is lovely but small car park and could do with a bit more attention to cleaning, there was a dead wasp on the window sill and wall lamps inside were dirty. The final point is we felt embarrassed when paying the bill because we wanted topay but that was a drama and a manager had to accept the cash!! Anyway well worth the cost and will go back.

I wouldn't visit again. Service very very slow. Vegan roast came topped with non vegan Yorkshire pudding so meal had to be returned. Roast potatoes were so hard they were uneatable. Customer next to us fell down step and waitress just looked on as we scooped him up. But, they did refund meal price once we complained, in their favour.
