All my career I have been very aware of the psychological significance of hair; when our hair looks good, we feel good. It has an effect on morale, confidence, quality of life and many people's personalities are identified by their hair. With the advancement of cancer research, oncologists cannot always accurately predict the outcome on the hair.
Cradle cap most commonly occurs in the first three months of a baby's life. Just when you thought you had enough to worry about as a new parent, something else is added to the list! But the good news is it can be easily treated, and the baby is likely to be unaware of the condition.
The exact cause of cradle cap is unclear, but one theory is that remains of the mother's hormones from the pregnancy stay in the baby's body for a few months, causing an increase in the rate of sebum production in some babies.Sebum is a waxy substance produced by the sebaceous glands, at least one located next to every hair follicle, which serves to lubricate the skin, and also the hair as it emerges from the scalp.

There are two basic considerations to be made when trying to ensure a healthy head of hair. The first is to be aware that as hair is forming it is alive. Each follicle, the pocket within the scalp where the hair is growing from, has its own network of nerves, blood and muscles. The capillaries in the follicle are delivering nutrients to the live cells as they become the keratinized protein that grow outward from the scalp.
You may be aware that iron is an important mineral for hair, but it is interesting to know why this is the case. When we talk about the significance of iron in relation to hair, we are specifically referring to ferritin, the name given to the amount of iron stored in our bodies. Often patients will come to us for consultation having already had blood tests, and been told their iron level is 'normal'.
Thyroid conditions can be complicated and involved, requiring careful and comprehensive management by health care providers - typically by Endocrinologists. The following information serves as a general overview for the purpose of offering a simple understanding of the system and why it may in fact be part of the reason you are noticing hair changes and challenges!

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Value
I can not believe the negative reviews of this salon. I have been going to this salon for years, and have never had a bad experience. I can tell you that John Frieda salon in Mayfair (where I used to go before) charges you 3 times more for the same quality of work. I hope Guy never retires, otherwise I am not sure what I will do.

I have had the great pleasure of being a client of Guy's for just over a year now and every 6 weeks or so when I go in to request a radically different colour he walks me through what is possible and I come out feeling and looking great. Not only that, but he's an incredibly friendly chap, and I always enjoy our chats, plus a cuddle from Dotty the dog. Couldn't recommend him more! :)

Guy is professional and friendly and really knows what he's doing. He always employs the best hair stylists because he is passionate about hair and the service he provides. I've been going for a while now and have always been treated courteously and followed very good advice which has paid off. My hair and colour look great and friends and family have commented on how lovely my hair looks. I would highly recommend Guy, his salon and products. It also feels good to support a local business.

I went here for the first time last week as I had a cut & colour where I live outside of London and it was terrible. Gorgeous Hair is near my work and they fitted me in the next day. Peter sorted out the brassy colour with a toner, a silvery ash, that I usually have at my old hairdressers, and then really listened to what I wanted for the short cut I needed. I love it. Verity was friendly on reception and with allowing me to cuddle the SALON DOG which is a beautiful docile staffy, which I have at home also!! Good times.
I haven't washed my hair for a week (no joke) as I am so happy with it. (I

In light of your response below, I wanted to confirm my review is real - the “coincidence” of lots of bad reviews at the same time probably reflects a drop in standards at the salon at that time.
My review: I had a cut & colour by a lady who was charging senior stylist rates and yet had to ask the owner what colours she she use and how to do it. I left looking the same as when I walked in but much poorer. No one spoke to me during the entirety. The salon was so unfriendly and snobby I didn’t feel I could say anything.
Interestingly my first review for the salon was 5 stars when an ex employee
