Following a dental examination, your dentist will advise you on any treatment you require and the likely cost. We will also provide an itemised account, if requested. All prices on the NHS are fixed by the Scottish Government. NHS patients who pay for their treatment, pay 80% of the treatment cost (including any x-rays), up to a maximum of 384.
Craigmillar Dental Centre are proud to be committed to the NHS to provide all of our patients dental needs. All patients, whether they are registered with the practice or those that wish to register, are entitled to a free dental examination. Any concerns you may have about your smile can be discussed.
If the worst should happen and you need emergency dental treatment for a lost tooth, a cracked tooth, an abscess, severe toothache or bleeding socket following an extraction, then patients registered with Craigmillar Dental centre can contact the practice on 0131 6617525 as early in the morning as possible and we will ensure that you are seen on the same day.
Although Craigmillar Dental Centre is a friendly and relaxed family practice, with wheelchair access to the building, we understand that many people are unable to visit us because they are housebound or in a care home. For this reason, we have a domiciliary denture service available for our registered patients and those not registered with our practice.

Have used this dental practice for a few years now.
Odd filling but mainly scale and polish.
Last time i needed a tooth removed unfortunatly the dentist broke the tooth and left a bit root in he told me it would just come out itself.
After a week in bad pain i went back and was told it was a bit of food stuck yeah right put wadding in and sent me home
Was told i would need to be refered to get the root out(surgical removal) and" it could take months"
I went to another dentist next day who said he would look and see what needed done after a 5 min look he said no that has to come out now.

Been going for years now, the dentist i see has changed 4 times i think? i dont know if that's common but each one has been excellent had some great work done, so I'm not complaining. The staff are super helpful and nice, they have adapted well to the new restrictions for stuff and they are fast to to get an appointments. There is space to lock a bike outside and close to parking and bus routes.

I’m reading the other peoples reviews and I can’t believe they talk of this practice . I always been treated extremely nice from reception up to the doctors . Always got emergency appointments very fast as well . And folks if someone is rude with you it may be possible they treat you as you treat them . Remember always be polite and polite will return.

The first time I went to this place the dentist peirced a hole in my crown causing it to fall out 5 minutes after leaving, she also did damage to the tooth behind the crowned tooth & I've had nothing but pain every time I eat, ever since my first visit, I had to go back to get another crown which I wasn't happy about, because I don't think those people are trust worthy, I've lost all confidence in dentists because of them, definitely should be closed 😠

My teeth are absolutely falling apart I'm ♿ and on disability benefits it's hard enough to live on a pitence let alone have to give a practice that broke my teeth money for nothing at all and when I called up to make an emergency appointment I try to ask a few questions about the appointment that I suppose to have missed the arrogant thing on the other end hung the phone up on me and I called back asked the same question and she done the asame thing I felt victimised. So long story short stay away well away from Craigmillar dental.
