Keith James Physiotherapy has been one of Bristol's leading providers of Physiotherapy services for over 30 years. We offer a range of services including Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Sports Massage Therapy, Acupuncture, Podiatry and Chiropody, Neurophysiotherapy Rehabilitation, Respiratory Physiotherapy and Hand Therapy.
We are a passionate and friendly team who are dedicated to delivering high quality physiotherapy, massage therapy and acupuncture to the people of Bristol and beyond. Born in Liverpool, Keith graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 1987 and began his career as a Junior Physiotherapist at King's College Hospital.
Unfortunately we do not offer the following treatments: pedicure, verruca treatment or nail surgery. We cannot carry out home visits. If your treatment requires the use of single use/disposable items, a surcharge of 5 added to the cost of your appointment. We are recognised by most private health insurers and have an agreed price structure and length of consultation in place with them.
The aim of Physiotherapy is to support patients in achieving their maximum potential (within their capabilities), accelerate convalescence, and reduce the duration of functional recovery. This can be achieved through professional examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, and intervention by use of rehabilitative procedures, mobilisation, massage, exercises, and physical agents.

Thank you Sara Ayala for getting my life back on track! I have used this clinic several times before for different types of physio treatment and sports massage. Each time I come away completely happy and out of pain. On this occasion, I came to the clinic for terrible lower back pain and spasm, which was the result of constant long hours at my computer working from home during the lockdowns. I was in so much pain I received 2 paramedic call outs. Almost bed bound with the pain I turned to Keith James's clinic and was recommended Sara for my treatment. Sara was excellent throughout my 5 sessions

I was referred to Keith by my doctor, after a lot of money wasted with a chiropractor for a chronic back condition. I was in horrible pain for over year and on strong meds. At the first appointment, Keith was so optimistic and reassuring, that I really felt hopeful for the first time. After a few sessions, we moved to the practice's gym downstairs. Not only did Keith get me walking properly again, but I became a runner for the first time in my life and went on to have twins despite having been advised not to have any more children! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

I've been seeing a chiropractor twice a week for three months at quite some cost it was not working and my wife suggested (made) me see Keith.
After my first visit I was in less pain I've seen him three times now in total and I'm significantly better.
My back is as well as its been for many years and I can even put my socks on easily.

If it wasn't for the fact they'd initially booked me with the wrong specialist (meaning I had to take a second afternoon off work) then I would have given 5 stars, but the treatment and advice I was sent away with for my injury (fractured humerus and radial nerve palsy) was very positive and the price reasonable. There's no obligation to have follow-ups although I am considering it.
