G W Lamb Removals was started by Mr G. W. Lamb. He was a blacksmith who as well as completing house moves, also transported bodies to the cemetery. The following generation diversified into furniture retail and all went well until the Second World War. During the Second World War, the vehicles that Mr Lamb had were commandeered for the war effort in and around the area.
Mr Lamb was able to start up again after the war and re-established a firm who have transported everything from ponies to school meals and have even delivered to Buckingham Palace. In more recent years, Lambs Removals and Storage have expanded into the surrounding areas and beyond. They have experience of moves abroad, reaching as far as Australia and more remote corners of the world.

I recently moved home and used Lambs Removals and Storage to pack everything in our current house, move it to our new home and unload the boxes, we choose to do the unpacking ourselves.
Lambs did an amazing job.
Everything went exceptionally smoothly. From the initial consultation and estimate through the booking process and finally with the move itself I couldn’t have been happier with the service provided.
Both the guys who packed, loaded and unloaded for us were brilliant and I cannot praise them highly enough for their attitude, friendliness and professionalism.

Be warned: They damaged our item in the move, didn’t wrap it despite reassuring us twice that they would carefully wrap it, and when we needed to claim because it’s damaged they refused to accept liability. I wouldn’t trust them to move any of your items if you feel anything is of any value. Paying the extra money for reassurance you can claim if they damage anything does not help.

Lambs were the removal company that moved my daughter and her family to their new home.
It was was the most shambolic removal I have known or seen. There was no consideration about the horrendous weather conditions and it’s affects on the furniture, the breakages were numerous and the move took 2 days instead of one and no compensation offered for damages.i couldn’t recommend them to anyone.

I felt compelled to leave this review following the excellent service we received from Lambs. They completed our house move which from start to finish ran so smoothly. They took all the stress away and the removal men worked so hard and were so friendly. I can't recommend them enough!

I thoroughly recommend Lambs Removals. We had a particularly problematic house sale, with a completion date that kept changing. Lambs were incredibly patient and accommodating, even when we ended up with less than 24 hours between exchange and completion.
Everybody we dealt with, from the lovely ladies in the office to the amazingly cheerful, hardworking removal guys were just wonderful and they made the whole experience so much easier for us. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make sure we were happy with everything.
