Services
In 1791 John Auchinleck advertised for "an architect, who perfectly understands the construction of flour mills to be wrought by water". Ballydugan Mill was built in 1792. It was an engineering marvel. The latest technology and the best materials were employed to create a vibrant economic venture: eight vast floors producing flour, bran and starch, powered by water, wind and steam.
22 en suite bedrooms occupy the 3rd, 4th and 5th floors of Ballydugan Mill and th Granary, sleeping between one and four people. Tastefully furnished and decorated with exposed beam ceilings and feature stone walls in keeping with the character of the Mill, every room is unique.
The recent conversion of the Granary houses offers the additional accommodation, across the courtyard, comprising sets of two double bedrooms with an added expansive communal living area, ideal for larger parties or groups. We also have 7 more rooms in The Lakehouse offering additional accommodation and/or a self-contained house for some of your guests.

The Lakehouse, right next door to the Mill itself, offers additional accommodation that is slightly separate from the Mill but still very convenient. Recently restored to a high standard each room is unique, en-suite and fitted with the usual amenities you would expect from such accommodation. The Lakehouse can be booked as part of a wedding offering extended accommodation or as separate family holiday accommodation.
In our downstairs dining room, complete with open fire on the colder days, offers the perfect ambience to enjoy quality home style cooking in comfortable surroundings. Booking is recommended as but at least always call and check as we do host occasional Sunday venues when the Restaurant would be closed.

We had the absolute pleasure of getting married at the mill twice. Firstly, our lockdown wedding last December went ahead outside in the courtyard of the mill and all the staff really went above and beyond to make the day special. The place was gorgeously decorated and they really couldn’t have done more for us.
We also had a post-lockdown wedding there this October and again, Maureen and all the staff went over and above to make the day perfect. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and the food is INCREDIBLE. Thank you!!!

Was here for a wedding recently. Overall, the place is pretty nice, but there's many aspects that are in desperate need of modernisation. If we hadn't been warned in advance that the bars don't accept card we wouldn't have had any cash on us.
On top of that, there were cobwebs everywhere. Which didn't fill me with confidence that the place had been cleaned adequately as we still struggle on with Covid pandemic.
An absolute shame, as a little more effort and investment could make this place absolutely perfect.

Beautiful wedding venue. The party area for the reception was so well decorated and the balcony made for a great cool down zone post dance marathon. The bar staff were really lovely, especially a ginger-y gentleman who was working at the bar upstairs. Very friendly and working his butt off to keep up with a lot of big drinks orders. I didn't stay in the guest rooms that night but I have heard from family that it was a great stay.

Our daughter's wedding was here on Friday 13th August. Fabulous venue , Maureen and her staff were friendly, courteous and helpful from the get go.
Wedding meal was first class and many of our guests have remarked on the taste and quality.
We stayed over and the rooms like the rest of the building were clean and well presented. Highly recommend as a venue.
