We are a small 2 partner firm founded by Nigel Glassey who has been in practice for 36 years. We specialise in conveyancing of both domestic and commercial property including leases for shops and offices. We aim to provide a personal service so that all your queries are answered by the person actually dealing with the transaction.
We do like to see you personally, particularly before you sign any contract or lease which is legally binding. It is surprising how often a meeting will bring out a problem e.g. We act for people buying and selling all over the country, but chiefly in South Manchester and Cheshire.

Services
Stevenson Glassey specialises in making Wills ranging from the complicated including inheritance tax planning, to the straightforward making sure you make things easy for those who come after you and make your wishes known very clearly so that there is no room for argument, Stevenson Glassey always wish to discuss instructions to make a Will with the person making it face to face, and if you cannot come and see us, we will go out and see you in your home or if you are in hospital.
Nigel Glassey has an additional qualification as a Notary Public. A notary makes sure that any document prepared for use outside England and Wales is a proper legal document which will have legal effect in the country for which it is intended.
If you receive such a document with the request that you take it to a notary, the notary will expect you to make an appointment and generally bring good evidence of your identity with you including a current valid passport. It helps a lot if you can send or fax a copy of the document to the notary before the appointment.

I had the great pleasure of dealing with Mr Nigel Glassey and his wife yesterday afternoon.
Following the Covid-19 guidelines wearing masks and sanitising hands etc can make face to face meetings seem very impersonal and daunting.
This was not the case at all though.
He is a very professional and thorough gentleman with a reassuring and friendly personality.
In an age where so much business is conducted via email and phone, these qualities are often not recognised or given credit for and can make such a difference to how a client feels.
Thanks again for your services.

Recommend Recommend Recommend.
As I said, Id recommend this firm for all and any conveyancing , wills and probate matters as well as the swearing of oaths as Mr N Glassey is the longest serving Public Notary in the country.
These guys are very organised, very thorough and above all honest and will not cut corners just to get the job done and the fees in the bank like some firms who will remain anonymous for now.
