Rai Dental Surgery has been established for over 50 years, but has been in the capable hands of our current owner Manjit since 1990. We're easy to get to, located close to several transport links including railway stations and major roads. You might think this means that the practice feels noisy and busy, but in fact it's quite the opposite.

We have carefully considered the dcor in practice, helping it to feel calm and serene, and many patients have commented on its surprisingly tranquil atmosphere. Our main consultation room also looks out over the garden, which was one of the main factors that drew our owner Manjit to the practice in the first place.
Services
Whereas crowns are often the ideal solution for correcting individual teeth, bridges can be used to restore the appearance of two or more missing or damaged teeth. Aside from making your smile look less-than-perfect, large gaps in your mouth can also allow space for the remaining teeth to shift around, fall out of line and generally become uncomfortable.
If you suffer from serious gum disease or extensive tooth decay there is a chance that the nerve of your tooth might be affected. Bacteria can cause a serious and painful infection within the root canal, and so treatment is necessary to remove the infected material and save the tooth if possible. Root canal treatment involves cleaning out the affected area and then resealing it to prevent future infections recurring.
Children who have positive experiences at the dentist are more likely to take care of their teeth in later life. Here at Rai Dental Surgery, we recommend that you bring your child for regular dental examinations from a young age, so that they can get to know the surroundings in practice and what is involved in a check-up.
Protect your mouth against gum disease and other serious problems with regular visits to our hygienist. You might think that tooth decay is the most serious problem that can occur within your mouth, but in fact gum disease is more of a threat to your oral health as an adult. Gum problems cause more teeth to be lost or removed than decay or plaque alone, so it's important to protect your mouth as much as you can.
If you're after something that can improve not only the colour but the appearance of your smile too, veneers could be the answer. Veneers are thin pieces of porcelain that fit exactly over the surface of your teeth that can cover up any chipped teeth. They can also close small gaps between your teeth when orthodontics (braces) are not suitable.
