Services
At Wingham Dental Practice we pride ourselves on our reputation for providing caring, high quality general and cosmetic dentistry for all the family in a relaxed and friendly professional environment. Karin grew up and was educated in Bromley, South London. She completed her dental training at University College Hospital, London, qualifying in 1988.
Cosmetic dentistry refers to any dental treatments that improves the appearance of a person's teeth, gums or bite. We use them all the time to straighten, lighten, reshape and repair teeth. Our most common cosmetic treatment is tooth whitening, which is also the least invasive way of achieving cosmetic improvement.
Sometimes known as 'caps' these are restorations that cover a tooth and restore it to its normal shape and size, strengthening the tooth. They can also improve the appearance of a tooth. Crowns are necessary when a tooth is broken down and fillings will not solve the problem.
If a tooth is cracked or is root-filled a crown may be necessary to hold the tooth together so that the crack does not spread or the root-filled tooth does not fracture vertically.Crowns are also used to attach bridges to teeth and also on implants. There are two main types of crown - white crowns made of all porcelain or porcelain bonded to metal, and metal crowns, most commonly gold.

Dentures are replacements for missing teeth that are removable from your mouth for cleaning. Impressions are taken in your mouth and dentures are custom made in a dental laboratory. The base of the upper denture usually covers your palate and the lower denture is horseshoe shaped to cover the lower ridge and allow space for your tongue.
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root, usually made of titanium, that is surgically anchored into your jawbone to hold a replacement tooth, bridge or denture in place. The benefit of using implants is that they do not rely on neighbouring teeth for support and are permanent and stable. Implants are a good solution to tooth loss because they look good and feel like natural teeth.

I've had a fear of dentists all my life. Ive tried several in the local area who were ok but Hayley and the team have been GAME CHANGING for me. Both in terms of the service, making me feel comfortable and most importantly in terms of not worrying about painful operations etc
They're kind and understanding approach has meant I'm finally able to smile with confidence. I've already recommend several friends and family and will continue to shout about this service for months to come.

I can’t say enough good things about the team at The Wingham Dental Practice. The minute you arrive until you walk out the door, you will be treated with with kindness, professionalism and great care. Their general maintenance program is thorough and flexible to your needs but importantly there is no other dentist that comes close to them when it comes to their emergency response. If you need them they will be there for you. Unlike a lot of dentists, they will treat you as an individual and fully appreciate the pain that you might be in. If you are a little frightened of dental procedures, don’t

I was in desperate need of an emergency dentist today and Ellie on reception could not have been more friendly and helpful in my hour of need. I was lucky to be offered an appointment and being fearful of visiting the dentist was full of anxiety. On arriving at the surgery my anxieties where alleviated by simply the most amazing dentist I have ever met. Karin was very calming and went above and beyond to ensure I left the surgery pain free and with a plan moving forward. Absolutely outstanding service and I could not recommend them any higher. Thank you!

I cannot recommend this dentist enough. I have a fear of dentist's from childhood dentistry. Karin totally put me at ease when re-doing my fillings. She is also fantastic with my children. My three children are not phased by attending the dentist and I put this down to the service they receive there. Such a kind and friendly reception every time we attend.
