M J Faint Ltd are located just outside Bath in Wiltshire's county town of Trowbridge. We are a family run business that can trace its beginnings, in and around Trowbridge/Bath, back to 1964. We are long time members of the Federation of Master Builders and pride ourselves on our standard of workmanship.
We are experts in traditional and contemporary roofing methods. We have built up relationships with many local clients, including private individuals, builders and authorities throughout the South West and beyond. Our reputation has enabled us to carry out projects in London, Birmingham and even the Western Isles of Scotland.

Services
Alongside our on-going Health & Safety training we are committed to staff training in the latest methods and materials available as they come to market. The more traditional elements of roofing are taught "in-house" and experience is added while on site. Not unlike the traditional apprenticeship schemes, this enables a smooth transition of skills from person to person and results in a well rounded skills base for our staff to build upon.
We have been trading as a company since 1980 and have been replacing and repairing all types of roofing systems in and around Wiltshire. Clay tiles have been used to cover various roof applications for more than 2000 years. They are highly durable, being processed, shaped and kiln fired from naturally occurring deposits. Clay tiles are weather resistant and modern production methods ensure even greater durability. These methods have given rise to an increase in both colour and texture of finish.
A fairly modern process, concrete roofing tiles being extruded from a mixture of aggregates, cement and water have come a long way. They are now available in many colour finishes and differing textures. Colour pigments are either added to the mix or applied to the surface during the manufacturing process.
