Our engagement rings are handcrafted in our CARDIFF workshop with each diamond hand-picked for its superior cut, sparkle, and beauty. It's not the intrinsic value of an item of jewellery or watch, but the emotional attachment that comes with every piece of jewellery that you buy. You can work directly with our goldsmith to design the perfect piece of jewellery, just for you.
We have an on-site Jewellery & Watch Repair Workshop with almost all repairs carried out in-house. You can book a repair in with us or find out a progress report on your repair. We also offer a be-spoke service and can even offer a service allowing you to finish your wedding rings with our on-site goldsmith.

Our St. Mary Street store dates back as a jewellers as far as 1896; originally known as 'Kingston Brothers', we are Cardiff's oldest Independent Jewellery store. It is this heritage that we pride our service and traditional values upon, and this ties into the look and many of the fittings and furnishings within the shop.
Begin by completing the form with all relevant details, or bring your watch in to one of our stores. Once we have received your watch, one of our members of staff will contact you with an estimate to provide you with details of any and all repairs that need to be carried out.
Having been given the go-ahead to service your watch, it is then completely stripped down, cleaned and overhauled and repairs carried out where necessary and replacement parts added where necessary.Finally the watch case is completely refurbished to bring your watch back to its original condition.

It is advised that you have your items of jewellery & watches appraised every 3-5 years to keep up with current market values. Whilst your item of jewellery is with us, we will have them checked over in our on-site workshop to determine the condition/s of the item/s and whether any repair/s need to be carried out.

Waste of vist…..my wife phoned the day before to ask about would they be interested in purchasing my wife’s earrings .
Went in shop Wednesday morning told straight away there NOT buying earings.
WHY ……… Say one thing on the phone and say something else in person.

'I needed to have my wedding ring removed and wasn't sure any jeweller would be willing to do it, as this service was all I was looking for. I decided to go to Jonathan David having seen the reviews, and rang ahead to check and make an appointment (in line with Covid-19 rules).
I was made to feel welcome in a very cosy space, the gentleman who met me was very attentive, kind, and couldn't have been more helpful.
He took the ring off without any charge and advised me to not have the ring resized for at least 6 weeks, due to swelling.
I asked to look at some rings

Jonathon, Mo & Lisa were absolutely fabulous! An amazing selection of engagement rings shown, shopped all day, had to come back, the ring chosen was stunning, just perfect! Ring was resized & cleaned & on my fiancee's finger within the hour. Exceptional service, we will definitely be going back. Thank you again, you made our occasion more special.

I may have mentioned in a previous review how much I love amber. Luckily for me (unluckily for my purse, boyfriend and family) the Jonathan David store on Wellfield Road has one of the most gorgeous collections of amber jewellery I have ever seen. When I enquired about it, I was expecting to be shown one or two basic items, but I was blown away by the revolving display that contained shelves and shelves of the stuff.

Jonathan David is a top end jewellers that supply everything from diamond and platinum jewellery through to designer watches.
