In 2016 Brakes celebrates its 73rd year in business and the 61st year selling and repairing Ford vehicles. Founded in 1945 by John "Jack" Brake as a small engineering workshop and fuel station. In 1959 Jack achieved his dream when he acquired the Ford franchise which was consequently passed down to his son Colin and his daughter Janet in 1968.

Fantastic service from all the staff today (Thurs 19th Aug) Whilst on holiday the engine warning light illuminated. Telephone call made late in the afternoon resulted in being able to go into the dealer first thing the following morning. Within 30 mins all was sorted and car deemed ok to use. All members of staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Thanks

As my partner has 2 fords that he takes to yourselves for work, I’m not really impressed with the girls on the service desk in this instance. As they have just rung us to say there is nothing wrong with the back of the drivers seat in our car. That’s what they do apparently as It normally wobbles under braking. Wow. On warranty work done at trust… ford weston super mare last week, who said get Brakes to look at the seat under warranty too as there is something wrong with the seat as it shouldn’t do that. I was saying to my partner to get brakes to compare the passenger
