Most of our customers drop off their cars by 8:30am in the morning and make there own arrangements to continue on to work or return home. However, we understand that there are circumstances where that is not convenient and we try and assist where ever possible. We are happy to drop you off locally, we also have a courtesy car that can be booked if available.

An MOT usually takes around 30 minutes and you can wait whilst the MOT is carried out. Simply mention when booking your service. If an MOT is booked with a service then Print off and mention you have the voucher when booking.
Ellis Motors can provide a small range of budget car tyres. These tyres are cheaper than standard car tyres and as such they will have a shorter life span and provide less performance than other types of tyres. If you need a quick replacement due to a puncture or uneven ware then a budget tyre may be suitable.
Your car exhaust system is made up of many component car exhaust parts / sections. This allows for the replacement of just one section as opposed to replacing the entire exhaust which can save money on the car exhaust repair. Car exhaust prices differ for each make and model of car. Some cars have a dual system having two full exhaust systems that run the length of the car.
Car brake pads are usually made from iron, copper, steel and graphite all mixed and together and bonded to form the pad material. When you put your foot on the brake the brake pad is pressed against to the break disc to slow you down and help you stop. These component parts are designed to wear down over time and therefore need to be regularly checked to ensure there is enough pad left to help you stop safely.

I have used Ellis Motors on a number of occasions and I have never had a problem. Unlike a lot of garages they are courteous and know what they are doing. I regularly supply my own parts because the car is no longer manufactured and the parts are hard to source at reasonable prices. They have always accepted this and we have good customer relations. The charges are reasonable and they have always made me aware of what needs to be done before proceeding. I don't think they replace parts unnecessarily. I have had several cars of different makes and models serviced and been entirely satisfied

Friendly, capable and well priced service from Ellis in my experience. Used them for tyres, MOT. Our local guy is threatening to retire shortly so Ellis will probably get more from us where I work, which is nearby.
Reason for 4 stars is only that I haven't used them all that often and not due to any niggles.

Ellis Motors is okay, but they rip you off.
I explained to the man, I was booked in for an interim service with richmond for £150
Ellis Motors said for that kind of price, they'd normally £150 for a full service, so I booked an interim service with Ellis expecting it to be like £80.
On the actual day I turned up and gave him my keys, where he then said "I quoted you about £150?" Seeing as I live nowhere near, I needed my car fixing that day and I had to bite my tongue and just accept they £150 charge.
Won't be using them again
