Established in 1868, Kemp London is the city's oldest signmaking company. The last century and a half have seen us evolve from traditional sign making origins to become a leading creative studio. As London's oldest signmakers, established in 1868, we maintain a powerful historical connection to the city. For nearly a century, Kemp London was situated in the heart of the City of London in Bishopsgate, before relocating to Commercial Street in the 1940s and then finally settling in Dalston in 1971 - a place we still call home today.

Kemp has been happily at home in Dalston since 1971, but we always knew the moment would come when our work would spill over the confines of our space. That moment is now and we've had to decide whether to scale back or to expand into a second home. So, we're delighted to announce our new production facility in Hadleigh Park, Essex.

Steve Earle, managing director of Kemp London, has been working within the sign industry since the mid-1980s. His father, a traditional signwriter, taught Earle an enduring understanding of high quality workmanship which is reflected in Kemp London's production and work ethos today. Earle's vision and guidance has led to the ongoing expansion of Kemp London, whose client base now includes many prestigious international brands.
