Filton Golf Club is a long established private members' club situated in the north of Bristol, close to the Airbus site. Although predominantly a private members' club, Filton provides very welcoming and an enjoyable experience to guests and visitors alike. Intrepid urban explorers have recently discovered a beautifully maintained and challenging parkland golf course with extensive practice facilities and a warm, friendly clubhouse.

Drive along Golf Course Lane (just off Filton Roundabout) and you find yourself leaving the busy, urban rat race behind as you enter a lush, green oasis of quiet sporting endeavour where members focus on the joys and frustrations of moving a small dimpled ball vast distances towards vanishingly small targets.
Services
Filton is a modern golf club and we consider that appropriate behaviour both in the clubhouse and on the golf course is far more important than dictating how an individual should be dressed. We do recognise that opinions on this matter are very divided, so as a guideline for your visit to Filton please note that any smart casual clothing, including denim, is acceptable in the clubhouse although we do ask gentlemen to remove baseball caps.
The following Private Members Golf Clubs have jointly agreed that a bonafide playing member of any of the listed clubs may take advantage of the RAG scheme. For your round of golf, you will be charged a 17.50 green fee and will be asked for proof of membership. Members should endeavour to play as either a 3 or 4 ball.
We offer a range of Individual Membership and Corporate Membership options to suit everyone from the beginner to the seasoned golfer, for the regular to the occasional player. As an exclusive members club our members are, and always will be, our top priority. Our fees are competitive and reflect the excellent facilities and services we have to offer.
Filton Golf Club offers its members a beautiful 18 hole, mature-parkland course, maintained to the highest standards all year round. Founded in 1909, the club is steeped in history and, whilst recognising the etiquette and traditions of the great game of golf and thus ensuring that this is maintained, the club adopts a modern approach to reflect the new generation of golfer.

Lovely course, nice layout, bunkers are a bit shabby with weeds, not that I was in lots. Good Pro shop and club.

Very friendly people. Course has lots of variety. The small greens make it tough to shoot a low score. Club pro is a star = Spag Licata

Expensive at £25 a round and that's with a member and no score cards either, the bar was closed also so I was not to impressed as when the Filton lads came to our course last week they got a members discount on the green fees score cards and our bar was open for a drink afterwards. 🤨

Clearly a club which wants to be members only. Not exactly the warmest of welcomes, to be honest made to feel like a nuisance as my phones email couldn't open my teeofftimes notification email (the title was clear). Confused to why we were asked to start at the 10th. We had to squeeze into established golf traffic which was busy yet the 1st was quiet. Again being higher handicapped golfers this made us feel in the way. Considering the number of groups the pace of play was good. The course although not spectacular is in very good condition, you would struggle to find greens better than these. Surprised

Course in bad condition. Booked twice with 1st time refused play due to members play. Second time told we could play but should not have been able to book. Felt very unwelcome as guests. No mention of temp greens until we arrived. Course poorly laid out. Knowing where to go from the 10th to the 11th I think was poor. For the price of the course. I do not recommend

I have just joined after a set of introductory group lessons for ladies. Tom, the professional coach, is great & very encouraging. If you're looking for for a 'posh' golf club, this is probably not for you (one of our group had tried Clifton, and she said no-one really talked to her there). Members here are friendly and 'normal'!

Quite a picturesque course considering its location. Played it one evening for £20 so it was good value. Some narrow fairways so accuracy off the tee is important. Small greens as well, which really tests your approach play. The course was is fairly good condition but the tee boxes weren't at all even and the greens weren't in great nick, despite their website claiming theirs are 'some of the best in the south west'. Very slow, lots of bobbles and I saw a number of little holes and divots. Players don't seem to like repairing their pitch marks either. Overall an enjoyable evening round but I wouldn
