Berry Pomeroy is a Residential Care Home in Eastbourne, East Sussex. We are dedicated to providing Residents with the best possible care, maintaining dignity and encouraging independence. Berry Pomeroy is a non-profit making registered charity (registered charity number 1172097). We aim to provide a homely and welcoming environment for Residents to enjoy and continue to live with as much independence and freedom of choice as possible.
Whether it's for respite care or a longer stay we would be delighted to show you around and discuss your needs. Our Residents would be happy to meet you too. Our home is a preferred provider with East Sussex County Council and accepts both locally funded and privately funded residents.

Berry Pomeroy is a registered charity number 1172097. Berry Pomeroy was established in 1951 in order to provide a caring home for the elderly where Christian values would be upheld. Berry Pomeroy consists of two Victorian houses that have been joined together.
We have 22 bedrooms which are attractively decorated and furnished but we encourage Residents to bring a few of their own small pieces of furniture and possessions in order to make the room homely.All rooms are fitted with an emergency call bell. Berry Pomeroy has two lounges. One is at the front of the house with views of the Grand Hotel parade of shops, and another is at the rear with views of the private garden and its summerhouse.

The Registered Manager is in charge of the day to day running of the home. The care team is made up of a Deputy Manager, Senior Care Assistants, domestic staff and cooks. During the morning there are four carers on duty, as well as a member of the Management. During the afternoon there are three carers on duty.
At Berry Pomeroy we are dedicated to providing our Residents with the best possible care, maintaining their dignity and encouraging their independence. Before I came to Berry Pomeroy I lived all alone in a small house in town. Unfortunately I collapsed at home the result of this was a trip to hospital for a couple of weeks. The hospital suggested that I would benefit from a couple of weeks respite in a care home and arranged for me to go to Berry Pomeroy.
At Berry Pomeroy we also provide facilities for respite care. This may be used as a holiday for the Resident to stay near to their family or simply to give full time carers a short break. The respite room is available on weekly basis and includes meals and any personal care required. A guest room is available for friends and family wishing to stay overnight for a long weekend or a special occasion etc.
