Penny Pot Care Home was opened in 1950 by a committee of various clubs within the county of Essex, and its founder was Lady Courtauld who opened the home to give elderly people the companionship, security and worry-free life they desired. The home was bought by the current owner, Ms. Debbie Carson, in 2007, and has gone from strength to strength, with an amazing and diverse workforce making the home a success.
Penny Pot Care Home is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Essex County Council. We are doing some upgrades to the home, so please know that there may be disruption and noise, however we are doing everything to ensure the service runs smoothly. As a company we are dedicated to becoming a Greener business and Home.

My mother is now in Penny pot and I cannot praise them enough. The staff have always greeted me and have always done everything thing they possibly could to make my mums transition from looking after self to being cared for. My mother has vascular dementia and Alzheimer’s and at first was very angry at the staff but they never once showed anything but compassion and professionalism treating and caring for her. I can only think the bad reviews were made some time ago. The improvements in my mothers appearance and attitude are amazing and I can now for the first time in three years relax knowing

Penny Pot is a fantastic place to work.
I have been working here for 3 years, and very much enjoy the challenges and fulfilment it brings.
We all get along well, and work together to ensure the needs of all the service users are met in a person centred and caring way.
The manager and directors are hands on, and are always available for us to talk to them , in confidence, about any concerns or compliments we have.
I would highly recommend people looking for work to get in touch and see what is available.
