Southern Garage is a wonderful place to look after your vehicle. They have cared for my car for some time now. The car never let me down. It was a Ford Focus LX 1600 and after many years of great service she finally died this week. Her power steering failed and the repair cost was more than she was worth. Thank you for caring for her.

Absolutely awful. I have taken my car to this garage on a couple of occasions and found them absolutely fantastic from start to finish. My other half booked his car in for an MOT for the first time and had the most awful experience. Apparently there are strict booked time slots, which were not stated when booking on the phone or in the confirmation text or email. Apparently the slot was booked strictly for 8am but when he turned up with his car at 8:30am, was turned away for being “10 minutes late”, and was told a standby vehicle had already filled his slot (in 10 minutes at that time of the

I booked an MOT for the 30/9 - I had booking confirmation via email and via text message. I arrived around 8.20 and was told i had missed my slot (8.00) and that it had been given to a car on standby.
My email and text message confirmation had no time
stated. I had no call to chase (courtesy call) and was told that there were no slots for the day.
I understand how time is a factor, However i thought there may have been some sort of compassion and understanding? and would have liked to have been told beforehand about the ten minute strict time controls, especially within the confirmation emails

Previously, when I had visited southern co it had been a pleasant response. However, when I booked my car for an MOT, it got cancelled due to an unforeseen circumstance. It was re-booked, and all was ok. I turned up for my new time and day, the receptionists looked at me dumbfounded, and proceeded to tell me I hadn't book in the car. Luckily, the other receptionist remembered they had forgotten to rebook the car in. So without making themselves look wrongful in their error they took the keys and eventually got it done.
