I use the terms sports, remedial and deep tissue massage therapy to describe manual therapy techniques to try to "remedy" a problem. My advanced knowledge of anatomy and injuries helps to address problems quickly. Treatment will look to address the biomechanical source of discomfort, rather than the area of pain alone.
To achieve this I use a combination of therapies to achieve quick, fast and long lasting results. This is what I regularly treat on a daily basis and the list is not exhaustive so please get in contact if you require further information on a condition that is not there. I hope 2018 is off to a good start for you and your loved ones.

Acupuncture is a treatment which can relieve symptoms of some physical and psychological conditions and may encourage the patient's body to heal and repair itself, if it is able to do so. Acupuncture is now being used in mainstream medicine by GPs, physiotherapists and in the NHS. In Bristol acupuncture is used in the NHS in pain management clinics.
Sports massage is a broad term given to the manipulation of the soft tissues of the body including muscles, ligaments, tendons and fascia. Sports massage can be applied in pre or post event situations as well as incorporated into a training or rehabilitative programme. I incorporate sports massage with many of the other approaches I have learnt for maximum benefit and minimum discomfort.
Deep tissue massage is generally designed for more focused massage work. Working a specific joint, muscle or muscle group, the practitioner can access deeper layers of the soft tissue. Starting superficially and easing into the depth of the muscle slowly often allows more movement. Deep tissue massage tends to tackle particular physical, muscular problems.
The body has an amazing capacity for compensation whether it's been overloaded, injured or put under repeated stress it will do it's best to keep on going. Fascial Manipulation is a manual therapy which aims to interpret the compensatory progression from one part of the body to another and is the key to great results in manual therapy.
The Kinesio Taping Method is a taping technique that is designed to facilitate the body's natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body's range of motion as well as providing extended soft tissue manipulation to prolong the benefits of manual therapy.
