Set in woodland on the shores of Lake Windermere our luxury Boathouse provides a secluded hideaway. With a fire pit and hot tub on the west facing terrace, you can just relax in the evening and enjoy the beauty of the sun setting over the lake. Inspired by the clean, classic Georgian lines of the main house, and the natural environment they sit in, the Lakeside Suites, provide a luxurious and cosseting space immersed in nature.
You enter the boathouse at the same level as the terrace, and from a spacious hallway quickly climb a flight of stairs into a world of opulence. Bespoke, contemporary fittings and furniture offer a level of comfort that simply envelopes you. Sink into the sumptuous sofa and immerse yourself in the stunning views of Lake Windermere.
Glazed along the whole of the outward facing walls, the seamless transition between purposefully harmonising interiors and outdoors provides a unique and tranquil way to experience the lakes. Elevated on a natural rock outcrop above the lakeshore and wrapped in woodland - yet only a few metres from the main house - you feel like you've entered another world, with all the required 21st Century amenities.
The attention to detail extends into the beautiful modern bathroom. Immerse yourself in a bath fragranced by Gordon Castle toiletries as you watch Aquavision TV. With a spacious double sink unit and walk in rain shower, you and your partner will have plenty of space in which to unwind. If you are travelling with your children the sofa converts into a bed suitable for two children under 12 years.
Room 3 is a large light filled room decorated in cream and green tones to reflect the natural surroundings of the hall. Three large windows face south giving expansive views over the grounds and lake. The modern contemporary en-suite bathroom offers a large bath, walk in rain shower and Aquavision TV.

We recently stayed here for our belated honeymoon. The hotel was exceptional, food was some of the best we've tasted, the room was so comfortable and quiet, and the location, well it overlooks lake Windermere, it's gorgeous.
By far the best thing was the staff, they are amazing, so professional but friendly & relaxed at the same time, in particular the Scottish bar manager. His knowledge of all the spirits in the bar was incredible. We will definitely come back, thank you for an amazing three nights.

I booked a room, evening meal and breakfast for my partner.
She arrived before I did and met me in our room.
From the moment I walked in until the moment I left the staff were the friendliest of any other place I've stayed.
Our room was exceptional with a view over Lake Windermere.
Food and the service was fantastic.
We will definitely be booking further dates in the future.

I booked an afternoon tea for my partner and I to enjoy on our first weekend away together in the lakes. I struggled to find somewhere around Windemere but after some searching and comparing i came across Storrs hall. The photos and opinions of previous visitors sounded very reassuring and i booked us in for afternoon tea for two.
They were actually running a festive edition of their afternoon tea which was absolutely brilliant. Well presented and a nice balance of everything, we couldn't finish it all either so we took a few remaining treats away with us. The whole team were very professional

Blow away by everything. 5* location, decor, service, food. The staff really went above and beyond. The suites overlooking the lake were stunning with underfloor heated bathroom, undercover hot tub overlooking woodland and the lake. Draw dropping views, every comfort you could need. We stayed in December and the Christmas decorations were beautiful, fires well tended for, music choice so relaxing. Highly recommended and we will be back.

Beautiful hall overlooking the lake. The original building has lovely period features, especially the rotunda and the dining room. We stayed in one of the suites overlooking the lake which are beautifully made, new, clean and private. Stunning views down to the water. The position of the hall is stunning as it is on a small isthmus which projects in to the lake. The staff were always kind and helpful.

Attended Storrs Hall for a wedding and both my partner and I were blown away by the gorgeous grounds and views. The room was very spacious with a lot of storage space and fantastic amenities. The shower was a particular highlight! The food served throughout was lovely and staff were very attentive and friendly. All-in-all, a fantastic experience and certainly a hotel I would definitely recommend and return to!

Spent two fabulous nights at Storrs hall hotel!! Hotel itself was exceptional,Staff very polite and attentive,Food excellent and the fillet steak was the best i have tasted,Location excellent.Also the hotel has a Falconer in normally after breakfast on the back lawn on a Tuesday and Thursday who displays his birds of prey and gives a delightful talk about the birds which we both found educational and most interesting.What more can i say a truly lovely stay was had between myself and my wife.
