Our main priority is that you thoroughly enjoy your experience while shopping with us. Starting the journey of finding your perfect dress can be daunting, and involve some vision and imagination, but we are here to hold your hand throughout the whole process. We are a small team that is wildly passionate about bridal wear, but equally passionate about ensuring your experience with us is relaxed, fun and at times a little surprising.
Finding The Dress is an exciting and being the most important dress, you will ever wear sometimes daunting experience. At The Dress we ensure you enjoy your experience with us, in our exclusive environment our small experienced team can help you find the one. The Dress is set in a stylish, elegant period property in Teddington.
Our collection of dresses start from 1500 up to 4000 and are all made to order from primarily British Designers who create and produce their gowns here in the UK. We feel our dresses offer a classic line but with a fresh, modern feel, perfect for todays bride. We take the time to understand our brides style and work hard to help them turn that almost perfect dress into The One.
Sample dresses include Suzanne Neville, Sassi Holford, Stephanie Allin. All dresses are a size 12/14. These dresses are in great condition and would fit brides that are a standard uk size 10/14. The dresses are sold as seen however our seamstress can make any alterations necessary to ensure this is the best dress for your special day.
We prefer that no photos are taken, whilst you are choosing your dress. Finding your wedding dress is a special time. That feeling cannot be captured on a phone, no matter how good the camera is. What you will see when you analyse pictures, and you will, after your appointment, is all the imperfections.

Really enjoyed my styling consultation with Emily yesterday. There's a lovely range of dresses at the boutique, which can be overwhelming at first but Emily guided me throughout the process, took into consideration my style, my insecurities and made sure I felt comfortable throughout. The Dress was my first experience trying on wedding dresses and all I can say is, Emily set the bar very high. It was a super special few hours and I couldn't recommend it more. Emily gave really good tips, made me feel incredibly comfortable and knew exactly what she was talking about. It feels really lovely as well, as the shop is exclusively used for you, so it was a very personal approach. Of course the dresses are all beautiful too, so much so, I wouldn't be surprised if I found 'the one'! Thank you Emily x

Beautiful store, with beautiful dresses. It's a family run business staffed by very knowledgeable, welcoming and friendly people. They only see one bride at a time so it's private, and they go out of their way to make it a really special experience. I cannot recommend Emily and the other staff enough.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Emily and Sandra and my experience at The Dress. I was nervous about wedding dress shopping and theirs was the first place I went. From the moment I walked in, I felt comfortable, happy and excited. They were patient with me, helped me talk through options and what a dress looks like in the shop vs when its finally fitted. I went to several other lovely shops but ended up back at The Dress to say "yes". I don’t even know where to begin…Emily and the team were the absolute dream to work with from the very start. After previously going to 13 different dress shops and trying on over 140 different dresses, I was sure I was never going to find ‘the one’. Simply Fabulous. It was a relaxing atmosphere to try on different styles of dresses. They know exactly what they are doing - Emily has a wonderful eye and is very sensitive to the Bride's reaction to each dress. This led us more swiftly to 'The One'. After trying to order on-line during the COVID restrictions, this appointment was exactly what we needed - personal and professional. It’s the place you always imagined getting your wedding dress from! It was the first and only bridal shop I visited as I managed to find my dream dress straight away. Beautiful selection of classic, yet unique and stunning dresses. Emily was amazing and just knew what would suit my petite size and shape; and also helped to get my dress sorted straight after covid lockdown lifted.
