I am a skilled cabinet maker and wood worker with many years experience. I have designed a distinctive range of high quality Rustic Plank and Chunky Plank wood furniture that I hand make to order from my Cheshire Workshop. My standard range of furniture is manufactured using Canadian yellow pine which is sustainably sourced.
This type of pine grows slowly in the northern climate giving the timber extra strength and a finer grain. All my range plus bespoke pieces are also available in European oak, which is also a sustainably sourced timber. If you want to see examples of my furniture I am always pleased to welcome visitors to my workshop, I always have furniture in progress.

I'm Andrew Broome, a skilled cabinet maker - this website is a showcase for my distinctive range of Rustic Plank Furniture that I hand-craft in my Cheshire workshop and sell online. If you don't see exactly what you want, it is very likely that I'll be able to build tables, chairs, beds or wardrobes to your particular specifications.
If you can't see what you are looking for, or require size alterations, I will hand-craft furniture to your exact specification. I'll make furniture to order whether its simply a side table or an entire room full of furniture you require.

We provide the following delivery service across the UK. All furniture is hand-made to order so if you would like an estimated delivery date before purchasing through the site please telephone or email us via the enquiry form. Delivery within 20 mile radius of Macclesfield or customer collection from the workshop is FREE.

I bought a nest of tables and a bookcase from Andrew in 2014 and they were delivered quickly and were well made. I am still happy with them.
I ordered 2 bedside cabinets in Feb 2020 expecting them to be delivered quickly again, especially as communication from Andrew was good and he said when he was expecting to deliver them, even despite lockdown. Then communication deteriorated. I heard nothing for months despite me emailing and calling (leaving messages) for updates. I gave the benefit of the doubt due to lockdown but then I did start getting replies. I was fobbed off saying he was just finishing

Saw all the bad reviews and thought "How bad can it be?" Well I am awaiting a refund for a purchase not fulfilled from 4 months ago. No communication for weeks, then an email from "Glynnis" purporting various reasons for the delay (that I had seen reported in other reviews previously). Was promised an update a week later but nothing came. Deadline given and passed, refund requested, bank contacted and still no reply. Doesn't answer the phone, literally takes months to reply to emails and I am currently out of pocket with no sign of a wardrobe or a refund. I'm not sure if it's devious or just incompetence

One star given for very poor communication and run around.
Wife ordered a chest of drawers at end of March 2019. No communication at all for over a month. Tried calling, texting and emailing with no response. Finally decided to start proceedings in July which cost me £35 online. Two hours after finalising the process I got a text from Glynis his wife, apologising saying it was her fault delaying Andrew. Seems like a two man blame fest. Can't Andrew talk for himself, or text back in a timely manner?
Cancelled proceedings and carried on waiting for chest. More weeks go by with no response yet
