Green-oak framed low-energy house on a site protected by an area Tree Preservation Order, completed in 2011. My practice is Nottingham-based and specialises in designing low-energy houses and extensions, though I have also worked on many small non-domestic projects. I aim to design uncomplicated but uplifting buildings, beautifully detailed and finished to a high standard.
If you would like to discuss your project, please contact me to arrange a free site-visit and consultation. I practise architecture alone which means I completely control the quality of the design and specification information I produce. It also means that I do not need to charge VAT, so my fees are usually very competitive.

Services
Long Eaton Town Heritage Initiative grant aid provided the incentive to repair sympathetically this fine mill. Replacement metal windows, repointing, Welsh slate roof and improvements to toilet facilities will ensure this building lasts well into the 21st century without costly on-going reactive repairs.

Chris took my draughty, damp 1850s former mining cottage in the North Pennines and turned it into a comfy, modern home, without compromising its character and charm. It makes my heart glow every time I come home. Thanks Chris for your calm and flexibility when your client didn't really know what she wanted and frequently changed her mind ☺

Chris designed our bright, airy single storey extension with floor to ceiling windows and the most amazing sliding door. We'd never done anything like this and he gave very honest and much valued advice (including telling us not to convert our attic because it wouldn't add much space!). Would recommend to anyone looking for a modern extension/development.
