Having been involved with property for more than 20 years, it's my passion! I love the idea that property can give you a passive income. I purchased my first property in my early 20's at an auction & I've never looked back. The residual income I've received from property investment has given me the freedom to make lifestyle decisions which most people don't get to choose.
The Edinburgh property market is overcrowded, and we know this. While other companies may cut corners to fill vacancies, we approach things a little differently. All landlords must be registered with their local council and have a Landlord Registration Number. All properties must have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) before it can be advertised. If your property has gas, then a Gas Safety Certificate must be obtained annually.
Additionally, you will also be required to have electrical safety certificates in the form of an EICR (Electrical Instillation Condition Report) and a PAT Certificate (Portable Appliance Test).To renew your Landlord Registration Number, you are now also required to have a Legionella Risk Assessment carried out at the property.

Clear, uncomplicated yet detailed Inventories allow us to better manage your property. Due to the Tenancy Deposit Scheme legislation, which has been passed in the Scottish Parliament, all letting agencies in Scotland, have to by law, rigorously justify any end-of-tenancy costs that would be deducted from a deposit.

Had a boiler breakdown same week I was off before the wedding. Spoke to Graham and he got me a guy down within 20 minutes, no fuss. Guy came down but couldn't fix it and said we need the gas engineer to come down. Gas engineer came down within 2 days and sorted it no probs Spoke to Nick and Gale. We're very professional and polite. Best experience in a long time from any letting agency.

I was applying for renting a property with them and they wanted £500 deposits from all applicants before they even made a decision. To the day I can't tell if that would have been legitimate, fraud, or some fraudster pretending to be them...
Went with a different letting agency, which gave me the final confirmation & contract and only then asked for the deposit together with the signed contract, which is a much better process!

There is a general lack of communication, the only way to contact them about a live flat is online, I was left with no response to my application and only found out the flat I had applied for was gone because it was no longer posted on Zoopla. They are slow to respond to emailed enquiries, if they bother to at all, customer service is poor to say the least.

This company advertising a property which is not for rent, they are even requesting for the full deposit. When asking for a viewing or more information & photos they replied the landlord took down the property from the market. Few days after the same property is advertised again and you can start the process from the beginning...

We have decided to take an offer from Umega.
Pure Management leaves much to be desired. The way they treat costumers is pedantic and arrogant. In our case, although we provided them with the information they required, they kept asking for more.… You can't count on them if you need to call them. They even complain about having to do our credit checks.
Maybe it's because we are international students, but they made us feel like criminals.

Since I moved to my flat I can only say good things about Pure Property Management. From the agent who showed us the flat to the ones who work in the agency, I’m elated with the service. Whenever we have a problem or any questions they solve them very efficiently. It’s nice being treated as well as they treat us. Pure Property Management in Edinburgh is a very good company to rent from, the staff are all very kind and helpful. Renting from Pure Property was a joy as I moved from London to Edinburgh and just met them face to face when receiving the keys, everything was done on-line.... Recently moved out of Edinburgh, due to work commitments and had to rent my flat out in pretty short notice. Was recommended to Pure by a friend who also rents a property in the City and I couldn't be happier.
I had no clue as to what I needed to do, but I met with Ashley and he took me through the process in a quick, professional and very… friendly way. His team made all the arrangements to redecorate, steam clean the carpets, install the correct smoke detectors, get the necessary certifications and even a new mattress in. The workmanship is great and I am delighted with the help and support

DO NOT TRUST THEM. Everyone will seem nice, everything will seem right but the problems will start as soon as you give them notice to leave. They will try everything to take all your deposit by the lowest ways you can imagine. Stuff that was already wrong/broken/not painted when we moved in was charged to us when we moved out as something to be… done before someone else moved in AND NOT DONE when the new tenants moved in (checked by myself as the new tenants communicated to us). DO NOT TRUST THEM.

My wife and I have lived in a property managed by Pure Property for 2 and a half years, and so far have found the company to be helpful and efficient. On the whole, emails are responded to really promptly, and every person that we have dealt with has been thoroughly professional and friendly. I'd happily recommend their service, especially when compared to other rental agencies that I have dealt with over the past 8 years in Edinburgh.
