We are located on the busy thoroughfare of Slateford Road in Edinburgh which is convenient for dropping off and picking up your vehicle on your way into or out of Edinburgh. We are a small but effective team who are very proud that over 98.5% of our customers have stated they would both return to us and refer friends and family to us.
We have no hidden agenda to invent problems with your vehicle and none of our staff are incentivised to generate extra business in this way. Our motivation for finding problems with the vehicle under test is quite simply your safety and the safety of other road users. Unlike other garage workshops we have no agenda to sell you work you don't need.
Technically this is accomplished using our Power Cleaning technology which can be used to clean your entire fluel system, injectors, intake valves, air intake and DPF. Cleaning is also required as part of periodic maintenance, and it must be done carefully to avoid damaging the filter. Failure of fuel injectors or turbochargers resulting in contamination of the filter with raw diesel or engine oil can also necessitate cleaning.

I've been using Stenhouse Motors for two years now and I'm always happy with the service I receive and the price, especially as Kenny goes the extra mile to explain any work that needs doing with diagrams and even models. They were also very accommodating about letting me drop off my car before they open and ensuring it was ready so that I could collect it during a break in my work schedule. They're not always great at answering the phone so I'd recommend emailing them!

Excellent and highly professional garage with great customer service and very reasonable prices, one of the best ones around! I've been servicing my cars (Volvo and Ford Estate) since a few years here and always had a good experience with Kenny and his team at Stenhouse Motor Engineers. When I had an emergency issue with an engine fault and noisy breaks Kenny and his team were able to provide fast and professional help to fix the problem. I recently had an odd noise coming from my car and given the recommendation from my partner I booked in with Stenhouse for them to have a look at the issue. They are located conveniently on Slateford Road and booking in the inspection was straight forward. A professional and excellent service. Updated on progress when left car in for MOT and service. Kenny was open and honest about work required ensuring he only carried out necessary repairs.
