The Troc Care Home is situated on the outskirts of the historic market town of Newark, within easy reach of the A1 and on the regular Newark - Coddington bus route. Registered by Nottingham Social Services for 32 residents, the Newark residential care home has undergone a major refurbishment with 11 on suite rooms, attractive gardens with a large patio and summerhouse.

Services
There are 31 bedrooms, 30 single rooms and one double room, including 11 on suite rooms which are all centrally heated and equipped with a washbasin. Each is comfortably furnished with a wardrobe, chests of drawers and an armchair. All rooms are fitted with a residents call system, TV point and protected by smoke detectors.
Registered providers Mrs Sonia Ghai and Mrs Renu Khoshla, have been registered to The Troc Care Home for 5 years. Sonia is also the proud owner of other care homes within the Midlands. Starting working with vulnerable adults with learning disabilities including challenging behaviours. Claire then went on to work with individuals with complex needs who had suffered from a brain injuries, which included mental health, alcohol and drug misuse.
The Home policy on "Therapeutic Activities" takes into account the Service User's interests, skills, experiences, personalities and abilities. Activities are individually planned to meet the Service User's needs. These needs are met following discussions between the Service User's family and friends, Care Staff and Multi Disciplinary Team members.
Service Users interested in coming to The Troc Care Home are invited to visit the Home. A full "Needs Assessment" will be completed by the management team to ensure that the Service User's needs are met within The Troc Care Home. A contract detailing the level of care and fee will be subsequently arranged and only when all of these are in place can a planned admission take place.
Residents at The Troc Care Home in Newark are encouraged to 'personalise' their rooms and can bring their small favourite items of furniture into the Home. The Home may be able to accommodate small pets following a discussion and an agreement with the Proprietors, Staff and existing residents. A varied menu of traditional cooking is provided with alternative choices for personal likes and dislikes.

My grandma spent 9 weeks in the troc she was not looked after properly the comments made by staff members to her on several occasions about her size were so unprofessional and made her feel terrible after lunch one day she asked could she have a lay down on her bed the care staff said lets put your nighty on ready for bed my grandma said its to early for my nighty to which she was told u can stay in the chair then and left her in pain in the chair.
