Quality care, play, teaching and learning, for children from 3 months to 5 years in a happy, safe and stimulating environment. Every individual child is at the heart of our nursery and will follow a personal digital learning journey based on their own interests, experiences and our age-appropriate curriculum.
Our curriculum covers the Early Years Foundation Stage and includes and embeds our Fundamental British Values. We work in partnership with all parents and carers to ensure each child reaches their own full potential. Fully trained, DBS checked, and accredited staff - we value the importance of our staff and their continuing training and development.

Services
The nursery is situated on the outskirts of Kidderminster - based in a detached two-storey Edwardian house which has been carefully converted into a children's nursery. The building can only be accessed through the locked front door - via a security camera system. Our children have the freedom to choose a wide variety of play activities and resources, both indoors and out, enabling them to choose to play in groups or independently.
Each child has a key person who regularly monitors their progress and welfare and ensures that every child is happy, safe and developing their full potential. Parents and carers can also access their child's learning journey at any time, on their own devices, and are encouraged to share their experiences from home.
We have an artificial grass all-weather play area. There are also purpose-built sand play pits, outdoor play equipment, wooden canopied shelters, a tepee, chalk boards, 'free' digging areas, and toy storage sheds and boxes where children can choose their own toys. Indoor toys can also be taken outdoors by children.
Deerhurst Day Nursery is owned by Mrs Lesley Jackson who is a qualified and experienced childcare practitioner. We have a rigorous recruitment process; all staff are DBS checked, have references checked and attend training in Safeguarding Children, Food Hygiene and First Aid, with certificates renewed every three years.
The outstanding outcomes are clearly attributed to the excellent partnership working with parents, which help both staff and parents to support children to learn. Staff have a deep understanding of children and their family circumstances and offer exceptional support and guidance to parents.
Highly effective monitoring helps staff swiftly identify any children with additional needs, including children who have special educational needs and/or disabilities.Specific programmes of support are tailored for each child to support their achievement. Teaching is excellent. Staff have the highest expectations of children and place top priority on helping children to progress.

Both my boys have been here and have really enjoyed it. The facilities are excellent, with a fantastic garden for outdoor play and learning. Mary & her team ensure the safety of the children as well as making sure that they develop both in an educational sense and a personal one.
I cannot recommend Deerhurst Day Nursery highly enough.
