The brand name was derived from the Latin word "Papilio" meaning "Butterfly". We view this as nature's most spectacular transformation, from humble caterpillar into pupa (the design stages) to emerge in all its beauty in the limitless form of the Butterfly. At Papilio, founders Matt & Stephen work on each project personally applying their years of experience to channel your ideas. Individual elements are determined by space and preference, rather than templates and brochures. Le Papillion or 'butterfly', is a symbol of transformation. Every Papilio kitchen starts with a blank canvas, there are no pre-determined templates or designs this is the true nature of bespoke. We offer an unlimited range of kitchen styles from contemporary to Scandinavian kitchens, the more traditional shaker style kitchen to classic English kitchens.
We believe that the relationship between you the client and us as designers is the key to truly transformational kitchen design. As such we take the time to get to know our clients and to understand the history of the property. We will learn how you and your family will be using the space and to get a sense of your style and overall vision for the project.
