Excellent care is only possible with hard working, properly qualified management and staff. The aim of our Newark care home is to provide our Service Users with the highest possible standard of care. We specialise in delivering care for older people with personal care needs, and older people suffering from dementia, Alzheimer's, memory loss and similar disorders.
We offer a homely, comfortable and happy environment where care is planned with the active involvement of our Service Users themselves, as well as their relatives, friends, medical professionals and others wherever appropriate. The home offers residential care 24 hours a day and is registered with the Care Quality Commission to accommodate 45 male or female elderly or mentally infirm residents (over 65).

Services
We pride ourselves on taking a person-centred approach to the care we provide. This means that each resident is respected as an individual and treated with dignity and all our residents have a named key worker and their own Personal Care Plan. We work hard to encourage our carers and families to be creative in developing ideas to enhance the lives of our residents.
The home is set in a semi-rural location and benefits from peaceful, quiet surroundings and a friendly community. The buildings are spacious and well maintained and offer a high quality environment with a good degree of privacy, spread over two floors. The grounds are spacious and are fully accessible to residents to enjoy.
The home has a part time Activities Coordinator and a range of entertainment and therapeutic activities are provided at the home. Our philosophy is that anyone can join in and that nobody should be excluded. However, at the same time nobody is forced to join in. During the day our activities include music and movement classes, keep fit classes, musical entertainment, quizzes and games.
As a care home we place the rights of our residents at the forefront of our philosophy of care. In particular, the home is run as an open and welcoming place to live for people of all backgrounds and walks of life, cultures and faiths, and our staff strive at all times to treat our residents with respect and to preserve the dignity and privacy of our Service Users.
Service Users interested in coming to Strawberry Fields Care Home are invited to visit the Home. A full "Needs Assessment" will be completed by the management team to ensure that the Service User's needs are met within the home. A contract detailing the level of care and fees will be subsequently arranged and only when these are in place can a planned admission take place.
