We are leading European fitters & worldwide suppliers of Masterpact breakers, as well as ABB, Terasaki and Mitsubishi breakers. We provide replacement parts for all Masterpact units, including those no longer supported by the OEM.
Most importantly, we can provide replacement parts which perform better than the originals, the prime examples of this being the AMP-SAFE-PRO STR relay replacement and our patented individual coil replacement. The core employees were originally part of the special projects group within Spectar Switchgear Ltd, a company that specialised in Telecoms HV and LV Switchgear and multi generator control systems.

Preferred UK switchgear maintenance contractor to Cable & Wireless UK for over seventeen years. The patent for our unique conversion clip, which extends the life of Masterpact M breakers by making it possible to replace individual coils, has been approved. Industry expects the installed base of power circuit breakers to provide decades of safe and reliable service.
Effective switchgear testing, inspection and maintenance programmes are essential; even switchgear labelled "maintenance free" requires periodic testing and maintenance. This is especially important where electrical protection devices are concerned. PS Electrical is an ISO9001 company and all service personnel have ECITB National Safety Group Passports.
Changes in temperature are able to be detected using our high resolution thermal imaging cameras. This allows us to identify problems before they lead to a breakdown and loss of service. Thermal Imaging surveys can identify poor connections, overloaded circuits, failing components as well as load imbalance.
When an insulation system has localised imperfections, electrical discharges can occur between two conducting electrodes which do not completely bridge the gap between the electrodes (hence 'partial'). The partial discharges usually begin where the insulating material contains voids or cracks within it, or at the boundary between different insulting materials.
We supply, worldwide and from stock, replacement trip units for Schneider / Merlin Gerin Masterpact and Moeller breakers as well as for ABB, Terasaki and Mitsubishi breakers. The Amp-Safe-Pro is a direct replacement trip unit for the STR trip units on the Schneider / Merlin Gerin Masterpact M, MP, IEC, UL and Square D breakers, and the Moeller IZM (which is identical to the Masterpact M).
