Crafted using traditional methods that utilise cords and solid brass pulleys with lead counterbalance weights: a reliable and proven method. We can produce high performance box sash windows without compromising the features of a period timber sash window. At Newlands Joinery we cater for all your fitted & custom made furniture needs; whether they be cupboards, shelves, wardrobes, bookcases, or desks. We can hand-make exacting requirements, each item and it's finish. We know that all custom made furniture is unique, not just in appearance, but how it fit in with your property in both style and physicality.
Our team manufacture purpose made wooden staircases to suit multiple requirements, from straight flights to ornate sweeping and radial staircases, in traditional and contemporary styles. Our wooden staircases balustrades can be traditional turned, simple plain square spindles or glass panels. We can manufacture from a customers own drawings & dimensions, or, if required, we can survey and assist with the design.
Real craftsmanship is difficult to find but Torben did not disappointment. The quality of the windows is fantastic and we were kept fully informed at all stages of manufacture. Would definitely recommend Newlands Joinery. We were very impressed by the work Torben did for us. At the planning stage he converted our ideas into a design we were very happy with, whilst at the same time providing valuable input into what would work.

Really pleased with our new front door and side panels. Solid Oak, bespoke Door Set. We found Torben using a Google search and by luck he had recently installed a new door locally. Once we had seen this fine piece of quality craftmanship it was difficult to consider any of the alternative choices that we had! Commissioned the door which was fitted in the new year. We are very pleased with the finished result.

We moved into a new home in Orpington needing some remedial work. A modern loft hatch and ladder, doors on a serving hatch and something to brace our roof, where the previous occupier has removed the trusses.
I was hesitant to contact Newlands Joinery because I assumed a joiner would be overqualified and too expensive for this work. Instead, we found Torben and his team competitively priced, remarkably attentive to detail and delivering a quality of work, which left us thoroughly satisfied.

My Mother was taken seriously ill at home and the police were called who broke down the solid oak front door. At a loss to know what to do as the door was bespoke I contacted Torben, He immediately realised our predicament in that the house was not secure. We took the door to him on Tuesday morning and collected it again on Wednesday morning. Were expecting it to take most of the week as it was quite badly damaged and need a whole new stile. Such amazing service. I know that he had plenty of work to do but made time to help us out and at that time was very much appreciated. His work is outstanding
