Update to the below, after another couple of mishaps... we eventually agreed on a property and with a reasonable discount to cater for the booking problems. Everything thereafter has been excellent including the housekeeping staff that sent a couple of items that we left on to us at no charge. So i've upgraded my view to 3 stars as an overall reflection.
The website and information was great, however the massive flaw in their system causing disappointment and let down. After days of searching on a host of websites for the right property over New Years, we found and booked a property through holidaycottages

Booked Tidal Sands at Caister-on-Sea for a Christmas present for my Son and his family. The bungalow was damp and had mouldy curtains and bed linen. Holiday cottages did admit the property had not been inspected for a while. The owner has refused any compensation. Shame on holiday cottages for not having any standards that owners should keep to and shame on the owner for letting a property in this state. The day before the booking the owner told us that the blind in main bedroom had broken and so had the fridge door. Far to late to find anywhere else. This is a property that has been given four

Sandie & Charlie were so welcoming and couldn't do more for us. Penny Bun Cottage is beautifully perfect, had all we needed for a great stay away. The beds were heaven and the hot tub even more so. Made cosy with the log burner going and the Christmas in the evenings. Would love to return one day. Thankyou :)

If I could give this company a negative five stars I would. I’ve just had the most awful experience with a business I have ever encountered in my life. I made a phone booking for a 6 night stay and was quoted a price for those 6 nights. I paid this quoted amount. It transpires that in fact holidays have to be booked on block packages and so I actually paid for 7 nights (without being told this). The company has now advertised the extra night I inadvertently paid for on their website and is trying to resell it for profit!! I requested to use all 7 nights I’ve paid for but I’m told I have to

We had a wonderful week in picturesque Penny Bun Cottage this month. The cottage was spacious and beautifully decorated which along with it's attractive cottage gardens in this peaceful village gave us such alot of pleasure during our stay. Charlie and Sandie are welcoming considerate hosts and made sure that we (and our 3 pooches) had everything we needed to make this one of the most comfortable and memorable holidays to date. We are very happy with the service we have received from Travel Chapter, having only started our holiday let last summer as lockdown finished and we were fully booked right through until second lockdown and the bookings are coming in steadily for this year.. we are kept updated on all the new rules and regulations regularly and our property manager Claire is always on hand to deal with any queries that may arise, and have not received any negative comments from our guests.Happy to recommend.
