ARCH Angels Architects
We established archangels ARCHITECTS in 2009 in Brighton and have since expanded to the Isle of Wight. We are a friendly, approachable and award-winning architectural practice with a mission to create cost-effective, creative, low-energy buildings that improve everyday living. As a local business, we have built strong relationships with a trusted group of consultants and contractors.

Our projects range from developer housing to bespoke new build homes to extensions and alterations of existing homes. Richard founded archangels ARCHITECTS in 2009 and leads the studio with a clear vision. A systematic and organised thinker, he is able to assess the challenge at hand and illustrate the best way forward in a no-nonsense manner.
Services
From contemporary new house design through to end to end consultancy on sustainable housing development design projects, our mission is to create cost-effective, thoughtful, low-energy buildings that improve everyday living. We offer a simple but realistic approach to building design, taking on board your ideas, priorities and dreams, be they for an ambitious Grand Designs style countryside eco-home or more modest plans to extend a bungalow.
When you engage an Architect for a new design project it can be daunting trying to understand the process involved. This guide to our design project stages explains what you can expect from each phase in the design and development process, how it fits with the RIBA Plan of Work, approximate timeframes required and which parties will be involved with each step.
Are you ready to create your dream home but don't know where to start? Let's start by asking the right questions. In taking the time to commit these thoughts to paper (albeit digital), you start to develop your brief. Your brief is a helpful framework to help approach your project in a focused way.

Excellent practice with a friendly and approachable team. Efficient, cost effective and very detailed service was provided on our renovation and extension project in Hove, built this year.
I would highly recommend using Archangels and will be working with them again in future.

It was a pleasure working with archangels ARCHITECTS and also with Rachael who was responsible for my file. As 11 Lewes Crescent was a Grade 1 listed building, I was rather nervous about getting the necessary building approval from Brighton Council, especially considering the major nature of the works, however, it all went very smoothly with no nasty surprises – mostly due to the professionalism of archangels ARCHITECTS

I sometimes find it hard to believe that the light-filled, dry and comfortable home is the same damp, dank and dark house that I started off with. I contacted a number of architects before I bought the house, and Richard was the only one interested in seeing the space and making any suggestions on how I could utilise the space before the house was mine. That he didn’t run off screaming when he saw the house I was planning to buy was a big selling point for me! Instead, and in spite of the size limitations and awkward layout of the house, archangels were skilled at taking my ideas and doing their

We spent a small fortune to have windows installed. Firstly, they recommended bad fitters that did a bad job and now this summer the lead flashing that they specified over our windows blew away in a storm risking injury and damage to those below. I had hoped that hiring specialist architects to help with this work would be beneficial. In retrospect it was a GREAT mistake and I could have specified and managed the job better myself.

For many people, the idea of hiring an architects can be quite daunting. There seems to be a common apprehension among householders that an architect will impose their idea of style on you, rather than satisfy your needs. At ARCH-angels, however, their main goal is to nullify this apprehension. I've heard numerous good things about these guys, and from looking at their site, they seem to be really on the money with their niche.

If you need any work done to your house, and you think it might be worth getting a second oppinion, ARCH-angels are perhaps the best architects in Brighton when it
