The Main Event is an Outside Catering company based in north Norfolk and run by Lynn and Nick Handley. We have gathered extensive catering experience since buying our first business, the famous Lifeboat Inn on the Norfolk coast in Thornham in 1979. Over the years we successfully added Sculthorpe Mill near Fakenham, The Old Bank Bistro in Snettisham, The Anchor Inn, Morston and The Queen's Head Hotel at Nassington to our portfolio.
Whilst we always combined event catering with the various businesses we decided to concentrate purely on outside catering from 2010. Along the way we brought up 3 children, Ben, Kate and Sam, who inherited a similar passion for food. Ben and his wife, Sarah, own The Duck Inn at Stanhoe and The Bell at Hunworth - both have achieved prestigious awards and their popularity grows year on year.

And don't forget, we can provide a full bar service too. We don't make a hire charge for this, opening and closing to your instructions, and stocking the bar with your advice as to favourites you may want to offer. So, if you want a particular real ale or a "Pimp your Gin" station, we can do it! Happily married for a thousand years, Nick and Lynn Handley will work with you to make your day special.
With an extensive, well equipped commercial kitchen, The Main Event Norfolk Ltd and our sister company, Lynn Handley Contract Catering Ltd have the facility to cater for all corporate enquiries. Business lunches and presentations; off-shore meals for vessels sailing in support of wind farm maintenance; corporate social events; "canteen"style staff meals.
Lynn and Nick Handley and their team from the Main Event (Norfolk) have been regular caterers at The Red Barn providing both food and bar services. We have always been pleased with their professional approach, food and service. We have always found them adaptable and accommodating to the wishes of Brides and Grooms, who have held their celebrations at The Red Barn and look forward to continuing our successful association.

Nick and Lynn were recommended to my Wife & I for our big day. This is always a concern as so much time and planning goes into an event such as a wedding to which the catering plays a huge part.
I feel the need to voice my delight with contracting Nick & Lynn as our caterers. Their professionalism from getco was evident, the food was superb, staff were great - kitchen and Front of house. A true pleasure dealing with such a Fantastic company. Great people.
