I'm a photographer based on Mersea Island, Essex. My preferred areas are portraiture and event (reportage/documentary), including family/weddings and live music. When the time presents itself, I love to indulge in landscape and creative imagery, using both my Nikon DSLR and photo-manipulation to get the desired results.

I really can't recommend Sam enough. In a very short time he managed to take so many beautiful photos of my three kids playing on the beach. He captured them as they played without them even realising. It was a dull day but the photos are light, bright and clear. He has a wonderful candid style and a real talent. Everyone I showed them to said 'Wow' as soon as they saw them!

Sam was absolutely fantastic photographing a recent family event. He came for 2 hours and gave us 100 great digital pictures that we can print off and share with the family (he's already done the quality control, saving us loads of time). He's a lovely guy - very professional and great to work with. Would definitely recommend.

Sam is a very talented photographer- he has an eye for detail, has loads of patience and flexibility and ... loves what he does.
I have never really liked to see myself in pictures and try to avoid cameras as much as I can.. but his patience and people skills made me feel so much more confident... he just asked me to be myself. That was enough and I simply loved that.
Also, my two little ones are quite cheeky and I could never get a lovely picture with them... and Sam did it! More than once he was able to get the most beautiful smiles on wonderful photos that I will treasure forever. Once you

I had a photoshoot with Sammy and it was a great experience. I really felt comfortable at all times, he was able to put me at ease and to work with me with a very well balanced dose of encouragement and freedom to play and experiment, so that I could explore my emotions while he was shooting.I admire his gentle sensitivty and openness, which really allowed my personality to come out.We had some shoots with children, and he was able to work with me to get out their playfulness and to be spontaneous moving from one location to the other to capture really authentic shots.
